Toronto night four on the Eras Tour is forever going to be known as the show where Taylor Swift performed a mash-up of her Joe Jonas breakup songs.
The 34-year-old singer is down to her final shows of the tour and she took to the stage again on Thursday night (November 21) at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.
For the first surprise song in the acoustic section, Taylor performed two songs that have long been associated with her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas.
Taylor did a mash-up of “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and “Better than Revenge.”
“Better Than Revenge” is from the original version of Taylor‘s album Speak Now while “Mr. Perfectly Fine” was released on Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
Taylor opened up on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November 2008 about how Joe broke up with her in a phone call that took 27 seconds.
“It’s all right. I’m cool. You know what? It’s like when I find that person, that is right for me and he’ll be wonderful, and when I look at that person, I’m not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18,” she said at the time. “I looked at the call log — it was like 27 seconds. That’s got to be a record.”
Joe later married Taylor‘s friend Sophie Turner, but they broke up in September 2023. Taylor gave Sophie and her kids a home to live in during the breakup.
