She’s about to release her 12th studio album, The Life of a Show Girl, just got engaged to Travis Kelce, and she may or may not be sneaking into Kansas City Chiefs games. Sure, Taylor Swift is busy—but could this be the year we see her in the audience at Dancing With the Stars? A Taylor Swift Dancing With the Stars moment certainly sounds ideal.
Here’s why the speculation makes sense: Jan Ravnik, one of Swift’s backup dancers from the Eras Tour, is making his big DWTS debut tonight for Season 34 on ABC.
Ravnik, who is partnered with Jennifer Affleck from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives this season, has gushed about his time with Swift, writing in a December 2024 Instagram post:
“We’ve created memories, we’ve shared laughs and tears along the way. I am not [the] same person I was 2 years ago and I can easily say these were the best years of my life.”

The two clearly built a bond on tour, and what better way to show support than cheering him on from the ballroom?
And let’s not forget—DWTS and Swift already have history. The show hosted a Taylor-themed night during season 32 in 2023, and she even performed on the ballroom stage during Seasons 9, 11, and 15. Imagine Ravnik dancing to one of her songs as she cheers him on from the audience. Swifties would lose it.
Plus, TLOASG drops in less than three weeks, and the timing feels almost too perfect. Swift doesn’t need the exposure, but she does love surprises.
Swifties are already manifesting her presence this season. And if there’s one thing about Swifties, it’s that their manifestations have a way of becoming reality.
“Taylor is notoriously good to her team and always supportive of her friends,” Glamour’s resident Swiftie and Deputy Editor Anna Moeslein says. “If she can’t make it to the ballroom herself, she’s the type to call in and vote every week to make sure he wins.”
DWTS is also stacking the deck with a star-studded lineup this fall—Danielle Fishel, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, and Alix Earle are all vying for the Mirror Ball trophy. The DWTS pros, from Rylee Arnold to Daniella Karagach, have helped the show thrive on social media in recent years, breathing new life into the ballroom.
So really, would it be so shocking if Taylor Swift made a surprise audience debut this season? Stranger things have happened.
