The Kansas City Chiefs seem to be tied to Taylor Swift no matter what happens on the field. Kansas City is 9-1 through their first 10 games and have their sights set on a third straight Super Bowl.
Star tight end Travis Kelce started off his season slow, but has looked like his old self recently:
more than touchdowns—he’s serving laughs. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, took the hosting reins for Prime Video’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? and couldn’t resist cracking a joke about fatherhood and intelligence.
In a lighthearted moment from Tuesday’s episode, Kelce reacted to guest Ryan Fitzpatrick’s claim that having kids makes you “wiser.” With a trademark smirk, the NFL star quipped, “Is that what happens when you have kids? You get smarter? Man, that’s all I had to do to become brilliant?” Fitzpatrick shot back with a cheeky, “Just have a baby,” prompting a wave of laughter and cheers from the audience.
The playful exchange sparked chatter online, with fans immediately connecting Kelce’s comment to his much-buzzed-about romance with none other than pop sensation Taylor Swift. “Not Travis blushing,” one commenter wrote, while another teased, “He’s already catching baby fever!” A third fan couldn’t help but gush over Kelce’s unmistakable grin, commenting, “His reaction to the mention of babies.” And of course, someone had to make note of the “So High School” singer’s fans, writing, “Wait the cheers of swifties in the audience.”
This isn’t the first time Kelce has dropped hints about his family plans. Back in March, he hinted at his future plans when he joked on his New Heights podcast (co-hosted with big brother Jason Kelce) about 7-foot-4 NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama.
“You can’t tell me that dude wasn’t made in a f–king lab over there in France…. Lab-grown diamonds? That’s a lab-grown f–king NBA player. Can’t wait ‘til I f–king make one,” he teased, leaving fans speculating whether he was talking babies—or diamonds. Jason, ever the voice of reason, jumped in to caution, “Don’t do this. Do not give these conspiracy theorists anything else to latch onto, please.”
