🚨RAVENS HIT HARD: Just days before their showdown with the Lions, Baltimore was rocked by crushing news that sent shockwaves through the locker room, leaving fans rattled and analysts scrambling to rethink the matchup, as whispers swirl that this setback could tilt the entire balance of one of the season’s most anticipated battles…

Ravens Dealt Huge Blow Ahead of Lions Game

The Baltimore Ravens have gotten some very bad news ahead of their game against the Detroit Lions coming up on Monday.

The Detroit Lions are coming off a massive win against the Chicago Bears, which is a great thing and gave the Motor City a show at Ford Field on Sunday, September 14 with a 52-21 win. But, the Lions are already prepping to go up against a fantastic team in the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, September 23. It should make for an exciting Monday Night Football display.

The Detroit Lions and the Baltimore Ravens both have a 1-1 record heading into the game, with the Ravens falling to the Bills in their first week of the regular season and the Lions losing to the Green Bay Packers in their opening week. But, a lot of predictions have the Ravens winning this one by a lot.

Knowing that the Lions are the underdog on Monday isn’t great, but the Lions are used to being the underdogs, so it’s familiar territory. Also, heading into the game, it appears the Ravens will be without one of their star players, which should benefit the Lions.

Baltimore Ravens Get Injury News Ahead of Detroit Lions Game

The Ravens dropped some injury news on Monday. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Ravens pass rusher Kyle Van Noy could miss multiple games because of a hamstring injury that he suffered during the team’s Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns.

“Ravens Pro Bowl edge rusher Kyle Van Noy is bracing to potentially miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury suffered Sunday, per source. Van Noy, who led the team in sacks (12.5) last year, is hoping the injury is short-term,” Fowler reported.

“With Van Noy unlikely to suit up in Week 3, the Ravens will be without the services of their top pass rusher off the edge,” Michael Bohlin of Detroit Jock City notes. “After recording 12.5 sacks during the 2024 season, which knocked the opposing offense back a total of 84 yards, Baltimore’s ability to get after the quarterback on defense will suffer a serious blow without Van Noy in the lineup against Detroit’s high-powered offense.”

So, while it’s never great to hear about any player being injured, the news should, in theory, benefit Detroit. Going up against Lamar Jackson is not going to be easy, so anything helps.

Meanwhile, Detroit Lions Are Waiting on an Injury Report

Lions coach Dan Campbell met with the media on Monday, September 15, in Allen Park, Michigan, and talked about the team’s injury situation. During the Bears game, defensive end Marcus Davenport left the field with a shoulder injury in the third quarter. Davenport also missed some time in the first half with an ankle issue.

During the presser, Campbell confirmed that Davenport was getting some testing done and that he wasn’t sure if he’d be back in time for the Ravens. Losing a star defensive end would be a huge loss to the Lions, so let’s hope that isn’t what happens.

In better news, Campbell gave an update on defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who appeared injured in the second half after a collision. He said Hutch as “a little sore but he’s alright.” The team definitely has to keep Hutchinson healthy this season.
