Although they are no longer the premiere power couple of the Kansas City Chiefs thanks to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes are a close second.
The three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and his wife have been together since 2012, when they both attended Whitehouse High School in Texas. In an August interview with People, the 29-year-old quarterback expressed just how much it means to have someone like Brittany cheering him on every step of the way.
“There’s no better feeling than having someone by your side who is just as competitive as you and supports you in everything you do,” Patrick said.
While they seem like the perfect couple, Brittany revealed in the same interview that she wasn’t always interested in the superstar quarterback who was Texas Tech-bound as she had him “in the friend zone for a very long time.”
Everything worked out in the end, as the two got married in 2021, and are now parents to three amazing children.
Aside from being life partners, they have also partnered up for multiple business endeavors. The two are co-owners of the NWSL’s Kansas City Current, and also work together avidly for the quarterback’s 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
Patrick and the Chiefs are set to host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl, which saw the Eagles end the Chiefs’ bid at becoming the first team to ever win three Super Bowls in a row.
The game is set to kick at 4:25 p.m. ET and will air on FOX.
